Mountain Mission struggled with assists on Tuesday (Mercer Christian Academy had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Mountain Mission took a 58-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mercer Christian Academy.
Mountain Mission's loss came about despite a quality game from Ana Chacha, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 51.1% of Mountain Mission's points, marking the tenth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Millicah Vicent, who scored five points along with nine rebounds and eight assists.
Meanwhile, Mingo Central posted their biggest win since December 21, 2023 on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 62-30 win over Tolsia at home. The victory was just what Mingo Central needed coming off of a 61-40 defeat in their prior matchup.
Mountain Mission dropped their record down to 5-5 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Mingo Central, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.
