The Wasco Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 38-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of South. Wasco lost against South in their previous head to head back in December of 2016, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 44-26 score last time.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Genesis Epinosa, who scored eight points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Epinosa has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Camila Almanza, who scored six points.
Wasco's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.7 points per game. As for South, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-2.
Wasco will be staying on the road on December 27th to face off against Atascadero at 11:30 a.m. on December 27th. South will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Summit Charter Collegiate Academy at 10:00 a.m. on December 27th.
