Palmdale is 0-10 against Knight since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Palmdale Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Knight Hawks at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Palmdale and six for Knight.
Palmdale suffered their biggest defeat since November 30, 2023 on Tuesday. They suffered a rough 44-18 loss at the hands of Quartz Hill. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Palmdale has suffered against Quartz Hill since February 6, 2020.
Meanwhile, Knight pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 63-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Highland. While losing is never fun, Knight can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 551st, while Highland is ranked 264th).
Palmdale has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Knight, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.
Palmdale was dealt a bruising 74-15 loss at the hands of Knight when the teams last played back in December of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Palmdale was down 47-11.
