Vista del Lago has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the El Camino Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Wednesday, Vista del Lago was able to grind out a solid victory over the Falcons, taking the game 62-50.
Ella Skrzyniarz was her usual excellent self, shooting 5-for-9 from deep and dropping a double-double on 39 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Callie Jacobosky, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds.
Even though El Camino has not done well against the Raiders recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Everything went El Camino's way against the Raiders as the Eagles made off with a 51-25 win. The victory was nothing new for El Camino as they're now sitting on four straight.
It was another big night for Noelle Potratz, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Potratz is crushing the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Calista Wold, who scored nine points along with seven steals and six rebounds.
Vista del Lago has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for El Camino, their win bumped their record up to 14-11.
Everything came up roses for Vista del Lago against the Eagles in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 62-14 victory. With Vista del Lago ahead 33-7 at the half, the game was all but over already.
