It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Simi Valley Pioneers can now relate to. They had to suffer through a rough 70-31 loss at the hands of the Eagles. Simi Valley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Gabrielino apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2020.
Mia Lim continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Gabrielino, scoring 34 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lim has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Paris Ngeam, who scored 12 points along with five steals and two blocks.
Simi Valley's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Gabrielino, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 18-7.
Simi Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gabrielino, they will play host again and welcome Villa Park, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Gabrielino is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
