The Purdue Polytechnic Techies are taking a road trip to take on the Indianapolis Scecina Memorial Crusaders at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Purdue Polytechnic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.6 runs per game this season.
Ben Davis hit Purdue Polytechnic with a ten-run third inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Techies came up short against the Giants, falling 12-2. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Techies couldn't push the score so high this time.
Purdue Polytechnic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabriel Abdurrahim, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one double.
Indianapolis Scecina Memorial came out on top against Triton Central on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fifth inning. The Crusaders took their game against the Tigers 9-5. The game was the first time the Crusaders have beaten the Tigers on their field since May 25, 2022.
Brady Ray made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Ray was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, Ayden Steinmetz was excellent, going 1-for-4 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Indianapolis Scecina Memorial is 2-1 when Steinmetz posts two or more stolen bases, but 6-10 otherwise.
