Taylor Morgan made a splash while hitting and pitching. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Wellington let Brookelyn Jones and Camryn Strain run wild. Jones went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Strain went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Strain has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kensley Story, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Wellington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.
Thompson Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Wellington, their win bumped their record up to 16-3.
