Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Torrance Tartars walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Golden Bears on Saturday and snuck past 2-1. Winning may never get old, but Torrance sure is getting used to it with their 12th in a row.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Jayden Black and
Daylin Nunez, who scored both of Torrance's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 21 so far this season.
Torrance's win bumped their record up to 17-2-3. As for Temecula Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5-7.
Torrance will take on Palos Verdes at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Palos Verdes' last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Temecula Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
