After flying high against Stockton last Friday, Logan/Palco came back down to earth. Logan/Palco fell just short of the LaCrosse Leopards by a score of 20-18 on Friday. Logan/Palco didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Taden Gottschalk.
A big part of LaCrosse's win came down to the chemistry between Christian Rush and his top target Lee Holopirek. Rush rushed for 106 yards and one score while Holopirek rushed for 76 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Logan/Palco's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for LaCrosse, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
Looking ahead, Logan/Palco will head out on the road to challenge Lakeside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for LaCrosse, they will host Central Plains at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
