The Hunt Warriors will head out on the road to take on the West Johnston Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hunt focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
Hunt unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak. They fell 53-45 to South Johnston.
Hunt's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ti'asia Taylor, who scored 21 points along with three steals, and Gracelynn Wolzen who scored eight points along with 14 rebounds. Taylor hasn't dropped below two steals for 13 straight games. Aiyana Harrison was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, West Johnston lost to C.B. Aycock on the road by a decisive 42-26 margin on Friday.
Hunt now has a losing record at 10-11. As for West Johnston, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.
Hunt didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against West Johnston when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 60-56 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hunt since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
