There's no place like home for Brush, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past the Weld Central Rebels 13-1 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Beetdiggers, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Elizabeth Peckham made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Jolie Tuck was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in October of 2024. Braelynn Smith was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Brush always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .654. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Weld Central only posted an OBP of .250.
Brush's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Weld Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-14.
