Given The Bay School's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 478th, while Gateway is ranked 1065th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, San Francisco Waldorf entered their tilt with Drew with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. San Francisco Waldorf strolled past Drew with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 39-23.
It was another big night for Henry Hanlon, who scored 22 points. She has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times she's played.
The Bay School's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. As for San Francisco Waldorf, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
The Bay School came up short against San Francisco Waldorf in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 40-31. Can The Bay School avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
