Basketball Game Preview: Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes vs. Marian Catholic

Alea Porter and Kylie Siket were among the main playmakers for Schuylkill Haven as the former posted 20 points and the latter had 12 points. Those 20 points gave Porter a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Marian Catholic posted their closest victory since January 12th on Saturday. They had just enough and edged New Hope-Solebury out 47-44. The 47-point effort marked Marian Catholic's lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Marian Catholic found their leader in sophomore Deanna Pugh, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 18 points. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for Pugh. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Fritz, who put up 15 points.

Marian Catholic's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Schuylkill Haven, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
