Even though the Manteca Buffaloes have not done well against the East Union Lancers recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. Manteca managed a  53-47 win over East Union. Winning may never get old, but Manteca sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
 Manteca got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Izabella Sanchez out in front who  scored ten points along with eight  rebounds and five  steals. Sanchez is on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed two or more in the last three games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Jada Ikharo, who  dropped  a double-double on 14 points and ten  rebounds.
 Despite the  defeat, East Union saw an underclassman step up:  Zyondupree Beasley  scored 18 points along with six  rebounds and two  steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Beasley has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alexa Zuniga, who  scored seven points along with two  steals.
 Manteca has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won nine of their last ten contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. As for East Union, their loss  ended  an  eight-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 21-4.
 Manteca will head out on the road to  face off against  Kimball at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Kimball will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. East Union will take on Oakdale at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Oakdale will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 740th, while East Union is ranked 138th).
