The Shalom Christian Academy Flames waltzed into their match Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They put the hurt on Grace Academy with a sharp 50-24 victory. Considering Shalom Christian Academy has won three matches by more than 21 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Leading Shalom Christian Academy to victory were Joanna Rheam and Addison Adams. Rheam scored 14 points, while Adams scored 16 points along with six rebounds. The match was Adams' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaicee Keller, who scored four points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Shalom Christian Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Grace Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Shalom Christian Academy will play host again and welcome Goretti, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Grace Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against GVCS Broadfording at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. GVCS Broadfording is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
