The Paradise Bobcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 55-18 loss at the hands of Durham. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Paradise has scored all season.
Durham's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Karla Rangel led the charge by scoring 16 points. Clare Osbon was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Paradise has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Durham, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Paradise on the road again on Friday and play against Colusa at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. The timing is sure in Colusa's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Paradise has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. As for Durham, they will square off against East Nicolaus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully East Nicolaus focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Wednesday.
