Chester is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Renaissance Academy is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Chester Clippers will host the Renaissance Academy Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
On Tuesday, Chester really took it to Penn Wood for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-34 victory. The Clippers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chester to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ja?Mya Muhammad, who went 12 of 17 en route to 36 points and three steals. Muhammad has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played. Zayana Vann was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds.
Chester smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive boards in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Renaissance Academy). Everything went their way against Dock Mennonite on Thursday as Renaissance Academy made off with a 60-36 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Knights have posted since December 19, 2024.
Renaissance Academy's win came from a few key players Chester will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Raelyn Jones, who went 7 for 11 on her way to 17 points along with five boards and five steals. Another player making a difference was Kasira Barber, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds.
Chester is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points per game. As for Renaissance Academy, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
Keep an eye on the arc in Thursday's match: Chester has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 37.4% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Renaissance Academy, though, as they've only made 24.1% of their threes this season. Given Chester's sizable advantage in that area, Renaissance Academy will need to find a way to close that gap.
Chester strolled past Renaissance Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 51-32. Does Chester have another victory up their sleeve, or will Renaissance Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
