Westside saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Collins, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Collins is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
As for Aquinas, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-7. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matchups by six runs or more this season.
On Aquinas' side, not much got past Greg Doman, who gave up just two hits and racked up 15 Ks to keep Westside off the board.
At the plate, Whit Hankinson was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of James Sherry, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
