The Community School of Davidson Spartans put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Mountain Island Charter 61-12 on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-7.
Tyler Baughan was her usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds. Baughan is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Olivia Stewart was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Community School of Davidson has yet to lose a game on the road this season, leaving them with a 5-0 record. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34.33 points. As for Mountain Island Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Community School of Davidson will take on Lincoln Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln Charter is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Mountain Island Charter, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Christ the King at 6:00 p.m.
