It was a good run, but the Glendora Tartans unfortunately witnessed the end of their 15-game winning streak on Saturday. The game between Glendora and Fairmont Prep wasn't particularly close, with Glendora falling 65-47. The game was a 29-29 toss-up at halftime, but Glendora was outscored by Fairmont Prep in the second.
Glendora lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Rylie Anderson, who scored 15 points along with seven steals. The contest was Anderson's 15th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rebekah Zweerink, who scored 13 points.
Glendora's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-2. As for Fairmont Prep, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glendora and Claremont will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Fairmont Prep and Calvary Chapel will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 4th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Calvary Chapel is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
