Greensburg Salem has not had much luck with the Golden Rams recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Greensburg Salem lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kaitlyn Mankins. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 44.4% of Greensburg Salem's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Ashlan Price was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Greensburg Salem's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Highlands, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6.
Greensburg Salem will head out on the road to square off against the Yellowjackets at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Freeport will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 488th, while the Golden Lions are ranked 192nd). Highlands does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
