If Concord was riding high fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Mission San Jose last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Concord Bears fell just short of the American Canyon Wolves by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. The Bears' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Concord saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Machado, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 3-2. As for American Canyon, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

When Concord and American Canyon next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Concord will challenge San Lorenzo and their six-game winning streak at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Concord's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so American Canyon's hitters will have their work cut out for them. Similarly, American Canyon will try to stop Alhambra's three-game winning streak when they meet at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Concord is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
