The Canon-McMillan Big Macs were the 53-42 winner over the Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Canon-McMillan fell 56-46 to the Blue Devils on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that Canon-McMillan has lost by exactly ten points.
When it comes to explaining why Canon-McMillan lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nadia Davis. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Davis hasn't dropped below 11 rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Miller, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Canon-McMillan and nudges their season record down to 10-6. As for Mt. Lebanon, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canon-McMillan will take on the Colts at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Chartiers Valley is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Mt. Lebanon, they will be playing at home against the Knights at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Norwin will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
