West Scranton has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. The West Scranton Invaders and the Lackawanna Trail Lions will round out the year against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, it was a hard-fought contest, but West Scranton had to settle for a 43-40 defeat against Mid Valley. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points West Scranton has scored all season.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Lackawanna Trail, who are still winless after their fourth matchup. They were dealt a 81-29 loss at the hands of Wyoming Area two weeks ago. Lackawanna Trail has not had much luck with Wyoming Area recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
West Scranton now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Lackawanna Trail, they bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.
