Mt. Pleasant has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the San Jose Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Jose took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Mt. Pleasant, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, Mt. Pleasant earned a 49-39 win over the Royals.
It was another big night for Snowe DeLeon, who scored 24 points. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Mt. Pleasant's points. Tracy Doan was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, San Jose's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight defeat. They fell just short of Yerba Buena by a score of 33-30. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for San Jose in their matchups with the Aztec Warriors: they've now lost five in a row.
Mt. Pleasant's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-11. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for San Jose, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.
Everything came up roses for Mt. Pleasant against the Bulldogs when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 64-23 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mt. Pleasant since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
