The Shelton Bulldogs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 51-32 win over Kenesaw. Shelton pushed the score to 45-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Blue Devils cut but never quite recovered from.
Kenesaw's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophia Schukei, who scored six points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Katzberg, who scored six points.
Shelton is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Kenesaw, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.
Shelton will take on the Bobcats at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Blue Hill and the Bulldogs are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Kenesaw, they will be playing at home against the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
