Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lincoln). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the West Wolfpack 78-36. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 21 points or more this season.
Lincoln found their leader in freshman Terrazia Smith, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Smith a new career-high in assists (three). Maren Uyemura also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.
Lincoln smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West only pulled down seven offensive rebounds.
West's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Janessa Hallman, who posted five points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Emma Bravo, who had seven points.
Lincoln has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. As for West, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-17.
