On Monday, things could have been worse for Salmen, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 52-34 loss to Brusly. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Salmen has scored all season.
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Destiny Bennett, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals. Bennett hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoe jane Nastasia, who scored nine points.
Salmen has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. As for Brusly, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-7.
Salmen will be playing at home against Lakeshore at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Brusly won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Istrouma at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Istrouma will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
