The North Stars will face off against the West Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
North will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating South, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Stars put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 12-3 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Stars have won five contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
CHAYDEN BENNITT made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because North is 6-3 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-5 otherwise. BENNITT was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with two runs.

In other batting news, RILEY STONEBRAKER and CASEY RICE did most of the damage at the plate: STONEBRAKER went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI, while RICE went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. Those three runs gave RICE a new career-high. Another player making a difference was JOHNNY PARKER, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
North kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West). They came out on top against Del Oro by a score of 10-5 on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Suns: they've now won three in a row.
Like North, West also got a great game from a two-way player: Charles Magallanes. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and not a single walk). Magallanes was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That double was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Landon Whitaker was incredible, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Adrian Camacho was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
North's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-8. As for West, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-11.
West's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: North has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .459. It's a different story for West, though, as they've only averaged .302. Will they be able to contain North's hitters?
North might still be hurting after the 9-2 loss they got from West in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Will the Stars have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
