Basketball Game Preview: Bishop McDevitt Crusaders vs. Susquehanna Township HANNA

The Bishop McDevitt Crusaders will head out to take on the Susquehanna Township HANNA at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Bishop McDevitt took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 61-37 margin over Big Spring.

Bishop McDevitt's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Leilah Horshaw, who went 6 of 15 on her way to 15 points and seven steals. Horshaw has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Isabella Jones was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Susquehanna Township). They claimed a resounding 69-32 win over Camp Hill. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the HANNA had established a 36 point advantage.

Bishop McDevitt's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Susquehanna Township, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Bishop McDevitt didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Susquehanna Township in their previous meeting on January 7th, but they still walked away with a 67-63 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bishop McDevitt since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
