While Madison's win against Valhalla wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Madison sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Valhalla on Monday. The two-run effort marked the Warhawks' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Jeremiah Jennings spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up nine Ks. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Madison saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leo Wilderman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double. That's the most hits Wilderman has posted since back in March of 2024.

Madison's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Valhalla, they moved to 3-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Madison has already played their next contest, a 9-1 win against El Capitan on the 19th. As for Valhalla, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-1 defeat against San Ysidro on the 19th.
