Softball Recap: Sherman Gets the Win

While Sherman's win against South Charleston wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tide skirted past the Black Eagles 6-4. Six seems to be a good number for the Tide as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Sherman's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Makayla Harless, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Sherman and bumps their season record up to 10-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for South Charleston, they dropped their record down to 6-12 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Coming up, Sherman will challenge Midland Trail at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Tide surely won't give up without a fight. As for South Charleston, they will face off against Spring Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Timberwolves will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Black Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
