West Virginia High School Softball - Sherman edges South Charleston

In Saturday's non-league match, the host Sherman Tide softball team scored a tight 6-4 victory over the South Charleston Black Eagles.

The Tide (10-5) will now prepare for their match against Midland Trail (Hico, WV). The Patriots go into the non-league match with a 8-9 record. In their last match, Midland Trail tipped James Monroe (Lindside, WV), 11-5, in a league match.

In their next game, the Black Eagles battle the Spring Valley Timberwolves (Huntington, WV) in a Mountain State match, on Monday, April 21. South Charleston will attempt to better on its 6-12 season record. The Timberwolves go into the match with a 8-6 record after their 10-6 non-league loss to Wellston (Wellston, OH).
