In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Sherman Tide softball team scored a nice 16-7 victory over the South Charleston Black Eagles.

The Tide (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Scott (Madison, WV). The Skyhawks go into the non-league match with a 0-0 record.

In their next game, the Black Eagles battle the George Washington Patriots (Charleston, WV) in a Mountain State match, on Thursday, March 20. South Charleston will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Patriots go into the match with a 1-0 record after their 13-2 non-league win over Midland Trail (Hico, WV).
