The Jenkintown Drakes lost against the Collegium Charter Cougar back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Jenkintown fell 36-29 to the Cougar. Jenkintown has not had much luck with the Cougar recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Kori Beasley was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with five steals for Collegium Charter. Beasley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 13 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nasira Towles, who scored eight points along with five steals.
Jenkintown's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Collegium Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season.
Jenkintown will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Lions at 7:00 p.m. As for Collegium Charter, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Golden Bears at 5:30 p.m. on February 6th. Merion Mercy Academy is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
