The Valley Christian Warriors will square off against the Washington Huskies at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Valley Christian 2, Washington 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Valley Christian is headed into this one coming off a big win against nationally ranked Archbishop Moeller (Valley Christian was ranked 74th at the time). The Warriors came out on top against the Fighting Crusaders by a score of 10-7 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Valley Christian got a great performance from Rohan Kasanagottu as he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts Kasanagottu has posted since back in May of 2024.
At the plate, Hunter Fujimoto was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Colton Hadfield was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Washington made easy work of Skyline on Monday and carried off a 9-1 victory.
Ehkam Braich spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Washington let Tyler Stevens and Peyton Romero run wild. Stevens went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, while Romero went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Guerra, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.
Washington was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.
Valley Christian's win bumped their record up to 15-4-1. As for Washington, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Valley Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Washington struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Valley Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Washington when the teams last played back in April of 2017, winning 4-0. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Huskies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
