The Chowchilla Tribe scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Minarets 63-24 at home. The win was nothing new for Chowchilla as they're now sitting on three straight.
Leading Chowchilla to victory were Nour Escheik and Shalaya Moore. Escheik dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Moore dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds. Escheik is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last eight games she's played. Bella Gonsalves was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five steals.
Chowchilla's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-9. As for Minarets, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chowchilla will take on Parlier at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chowchilla has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Minarets, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Fresno Christian at 6:00 p.m. Minarets comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last six games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
