In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Academy of Our Lady of Peace made off with a 54-53 victory over Eastlake. The win made it back-to-back wins for Academy of Our Lady of Peace.
Jillian Nowicki continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. The game was her eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Caroline O'neal, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds.
Academy of Our Lady of Peace's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Eastlake, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Academy of Our Lady of Peace will head out on the road to face off against St. Joseph Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph Academy is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Eastlake will take on Helix in a holiday battle at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday at. Hopefully Helix focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Monday.
