Colfax was the 13-3 winner over Center when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Colfax Falcons took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Center Cougars on Monday. The Falcons' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Cody Tonini and Wyston Genest stepped up to the plate in a big way. Tonini scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2, while Genest scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Colfax's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2-1. As for Center, they pushed their record up to 6-0-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

While Colfax had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
