On Thursday, Francis Parker ended up a good deal behind Bonita Vista and lost 55-39.
Francis Parker's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaia Desmond, who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Desmond has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gigi Ong, who scored 14 points.
Mahliya Wilson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bonita Vista, dropping a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds. Wilson continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Shania White was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Francis Parker's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Bonita Vista, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10.
Francis Parker will head out on the road to face off against Bishop's at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bishop's has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 322 points over their last five contests. As for Bonita Vista, they will square off against Grossmont at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Grossmont is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
