The Glendale Adventist Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took down Beacon Hill 39-23. That looming 39-23 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Glendale Adventist yet this season.
Glendale Adventist was led to victory by Jazmine Climaco and Jazmin Wong. Climaco scored eight points along with nine steals, while Wong scored 12 points along with nine steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wong has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Sofia Escudero, who scored seven points along with five steals.
Glendale Adventist's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4. As for Beacon Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Hillcrest Christian the next time they take the court. Glendale Adventist will head out to face Hillcrest Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Beacon Hill will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
