Murrieta Mesa's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Aniah Green, who scored 16 points, and LaKaila Trimble who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and six blocks. That's the first time this season that Green scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeneveve Eaves, who scored two points along with six rebounds.
Murrieta Mesa has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season. As for Temecula Valley, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-10.

As for Temecula Valley, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Great Oak at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th. Great Oak presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Temecula Valley in California (Great Oak is ranked 201st, while Temecula Valley is ranked 417th).
