Baseball Recap: Moreno Valley Has No Trouble Against La Sierra

Moreno Valley won the last time they faced La Sierra and things went their way on Saturday too. The Vikings were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

J. Moore was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Moreno Valley has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for La Sierra, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moreno Valley will head out to face off against Orange Vista at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings are facing the Coyotes at the right time seeing as the Coyotes are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for La Sierra, they will venture away from home to take on Norte Vista at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The Braves will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
