The Tehachapi Warriors can now show off 17 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They breezed by Arvin on the road to the tune of 63-28. The victory was nothing new for Tehachapi as they're now sitting on 13 straight.
Tehachapi's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Riley Walden, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Kennedy Perkins was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Arvin lost, one person who can't be blamed is Roxana Fernandez. Despite the final result, she scored ten points along with nine steals and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Marianna Ortiz, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Tehachapi pushed their record up to 19-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Arvin, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tehachapi on the road again on Thursday and play against South at 6:30 p.m. on January 25th. South will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1091st, while Tehachapi is ranked 151st). As for Arvin, they will head out on the road to take on Lone Pine at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lone Pine has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
