Kiski Area has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. The Kiski Area Cavaliers and the St. Joseph Spartans will face off at 5:30 p.m. on December 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
Last Saturday, things could have been worse for Kiski Area, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 48-32 loss to Armstrong.
Meanwhile, even though North Hills scored an imposing 58 points on Saturday, St. Joseph still came out on top. St. Joseph skirted past North Hills 61-58. The victory made it back-to-back wins for St. Joseph.
St. Joseph's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Julie Spinelli, who scored 21 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Spinelli has scored at least 25% of St. Joseph's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gia Richter, who scored 18 points along with 5 rebounds.
The wins kept both teams' perfect 1-1 season records intact.
Everything came up roses for Kiski Area against St. Joseph in their previous matchup back in February of 2022 as the team secured a 54-13 win. Does Kiski Area have another victory up their sleeve, or will St. Joseph turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
