Los Angeles CES has gone 8-2 against Fairfax recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Los Angeles CES Unicorns will venture away from home to challenge the Fairfax Lions at 2:00 p.m. Los Angeles CES' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Fairfax's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Los Angeles CES and Westchester meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. Los Angeles CES blew past Westchester 10-0. The victory continues a trend for the Unicorns in their matchups with the Comets: they've now won five in a row.

The team relied heavily on Eli Stephens, who scored two runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-2. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brandon Phan, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Los Angeles CES always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive contests.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Fairfax and University had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Fairfax came up short against University on Friday, falling 11-0. Lions fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Wildcats since on Friday.
Fairfax saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Pablo Guerrero, who scored no runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Fairfax's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Los Angeles CES, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Los Angeles CES' speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's game. Los Angeles CES has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.6 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Fairfax, though, as they've been averaging only 0.8 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Los Angeles CES continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went Los Angeles CES' way against Fairfax when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Los Angeles CES made off with an 11-1 victory. Will Los Angeles CES repeat their success, or does Fairfax have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
