The St. Mary's Cardinals stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 76-28 victory over Creighton. The win was nothing new for St. Mary's as they're now sitting on five straight.
It was another big night for Alissa Brabec, who scored 28 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Hedstrom, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
St. Mary's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Creighton, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
St. Mary's will be playing in front of their home fans against Stuart on Thursday. Stuart will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings (they are ranked 187th, while St. Mary's is ranked 40th). As for Creighton, they will head out on the road to face off against North Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Central will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
