The Berean Christian Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the St. Patrick-St. Vincent Bruins at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Berean Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victor by a 20-1 margin over International on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won three contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Luke Upshaw made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Upshaw was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Colton Swift was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Sabo, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Berean Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .684. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive games.
The home team had come away the winner the last six times St. Patrick-St. Vincent and Salesian College Preparatory had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. St. Patrick-St. Vincent put the hurt on Salesian College Preparatory with a sharp 11-2 victory on Tuesday. While the Bruins didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Madden Mendez made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Mendez was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.
In other pitching news, Logan Lissner looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in April of 2024.
Back at the plate, Bo Smith was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Anthony Eyheralde also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Berean Christian's record now sits at 3-1. As for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Berean Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like St. Patrick-St. Vincent struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Berean Christian skirted past St. Patrick-St. Vincent 4-2 when the teams last played back in May of 2021. The rematch might be a little tougher for Berean Christian since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
