The Piedmont Highlanders will square off against the Encinal Jets at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Piedmont 3.9, Encinal 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Anthony Wilson made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off 11 hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Shaun Presley was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Evan Furuichi, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
