Kohelet Yeshiva's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were the victim of a tough 48-27 defeat at the hands of New Foundations. The contest was a close 20-17 at the break, but unfortunately for Kohelet Yeshiva it sure didn't stay that way.
New Foundations' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jada D led the charge by scoring 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her. Ava A was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Kohelet Yeshiva's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2. As for New Foundations, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kohelet Yeshiva will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on The City School at 4:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. New Foundations is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Mastery at 4:00 p.m. on December 20th.
